Legal Intern (Pre-law Students)

We are a boutique immigration law office located in the city of Covina. Internship at our office offers a challenging and rewarding experience to provide students with an opportunity to explore the practice of law in a boutique firm environment. You'll be part of a team of dedicated professionals, applying your vision and talent to the shared goal of moving forward the dreams of immigrants coming to this country.

This is a paid internship. A minimum commitment of 6 months is required, with preference given to candidates available for over a year. Working during normal business hours is preferred (between 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday) though not required.

Title: Legal Intern

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work under attorney and case manager’s supervision to prepare filing documents

- Contact government agency to check case status

- Maintain internal database and update case status

- Prepare and update template documents

- Process incoming and outgoing mail

- Work on other ad hoc projects, including admin projects

Qualifications and Required Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree; Pre-law students are preferred

· Proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook

· Ability to prioritize projects

· Attention to detail

· Office work experience preferred but not required

· Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
