Technical Project Manager Internship

Job Title: Technical Project Manager Intern
Location: On-site in San Jose, CA (Product Team)
Job Type: Internship (with potential for full-time conversion)
Stipend: $1,500/month
Visa Support: OPT extension and H1B sponsorship available upon full-time conversion

About the Role:
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager Intern to join our Product team in San Jose, CA. This role will support cross-functional product development, coordinate hardware/software schedules, and help manage daily execution from design through deployment. You’ll work closely with engineering, QA, and operations to keep projects on track and aligned with business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage schedules, tasks, and deliverables across hardware and software development
  • Facilitate sprint planning, weekly check-ins, and stakeholder updates
  • Coordinate communication between product, engineering, and third-party partners
  • Support certification, testing, and go-to-market execution
  • Track risk, dependencies, and blockers, and proactively escalate as needed
  • Maintain clear documentation of milestones, status reports, and product requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1+ years of internship or work experience in product development (hardware/software preferred)
  • Familiarity with project management workflows (Agile, Scrum, or hybrid)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable using tools such as Jira, Trello, Notion, Confluence
  • Interest in energy systems, IoT, or smart devices is a plus

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on project coordination involving both hardware and software
  • Experience working with cross-regional or international teams across time zones
  • Exposure to validation and certification (e.g., UL, FCC)
  • Startup experience or entrepreneurial mindset
