Associate Personnel Analyst
Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II), and guidance of Staff Services Managers I (SSMI’s), the Associate Personnel Analyst (APA) is responsible for performing analytical review and disposition of complex and sensitive Examination appeals, Withhold from Certification appeals, and Merit Issue Complaints filed with the State Personnel Board (SPB). The APA also provides assistance and information to the public, state employees, state departments and other parties; interpreting State civil service laws, rules, policies and procedures; maintaining effective relationships with and communication between, departmental staff; ensuring the timely disposition of assigned appeals; and keeping management apprised of problems and/or areas of concern.
