Project Manager - Aftermarket

The Project Manager - Aftermarket is responsible for managing aftermarket orders from start to finish — from order receipt through delivery and warranty. The PM acts as the main point of contact for internal teams and customers, ensuring projects meet technical requirements, stay on schedule, and align with budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full lifecycle of aftermarket projects: quoting, planning, execution, and follow-up
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, Procurement, Production, Shipping, Finance
  • Track project performance and risks (cost, schedule, scope, contract compliance)
  • Provide clear, frequent communication to customers on status and deliverables
  • Ensure timely invoicing, document control, and milestone management
  • Monitor manufacturing quality and delivery schedules
  • Lead internal/external project meetings and status reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement and standard project practices

 Experience to Look for on Resumes

  • 1–5 years of project management or applications/project engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing or engineered product environment
  • Experience with valves, actuators, flow control, or similar industrial/mechanical products
  • Background in aftermarket, service, or customer support engineering is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders and priorities
  • Exposure to ERP and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, project planning, BOM management
  • Familiarity with NDE (non-destructive examination) and/or manufacturing processes
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with nuclear industry protocols is a plus but not required

  • Bachelor’s degree – any degree
  • Not Engineering focused, more business 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and confident communicator (written + verbal)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Familiar with ISO standards, cost tracking, and quality-focused workflows

• Salary Range Approved: $90-100k

• Location: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (Hybrid)

• Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned aftermarket projects.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from order receipt through warranty.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet delivery, contract, and profitability goals.
  • Track financials, schedules, and scope; manage risks and resolve issues.
  • Handle customer communication, documentation, invoicing, and contract compliance.

• Industry Experience Needed: Valve and/or process control industry, or related engineering/manufacturing; nuclear industry familiarity nice to have 

• Years of Experience: 2–3 years in project management within relevant industries.
