Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team and oversee the financial operations of our U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong expertise in financial risk control, tax planning, and cross-border financial management. This role will play a key part in building a robust financial infrastructure that supports business growth while mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement financial risk control systems, including but not limited to:
- Accounts receivable risk management system
- Finished goods inventory control system
- Warehouse accounting and control system
- Pricing oversight and compliance framework
- Identification and mitigation of potential legal risks
2. Tax Management:
- Oversee day-to-day tax filings and long-term tax planning for all U.S. subsidiaries
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
3. Audit Coordination:
- Manage audit processes for all U.S. subsidiaries
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely audit completion
4. General Ledger Oversight:
- Supervise the full-cycle accounting of U.S. legal entities
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
5. Canada Operations:
- Lead and manage full accounting operations for the Canadian subsidiary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- CPA or other professional accounting certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of cross-border accounting practices and tax regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cultures and international teams
- Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese required
