The City of Elk Grove is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to help operate and enhance Elk Grove’s newest and largest public facility campus, District56. The ideal candidate for the Community Center Coordinator position is an organized and adaptable team player with a background in facility operations and maintenance, scheduling, and customer service. This position supports the daily operations of District56, including the community center, aquatics center, nature preserve, and other shared facilities, ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.

The successful candidate will have experience coordinating facility rentals, scheduling staff, managing reservations, and working with vendors, contractors, tenants, and community partners. They excel at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and are skilled in budgeting, vendor coordination, and technology-driven scheduling.  Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining quality and safety. Above all, the ideal candidate takes pride in creating an inclusive, vibrant environment where residents feel connected and eager to return to District56.
