Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the candidate independently performs the most difficult analytical and professional level accounting activities within the PO & Recon. Unit. Duties include but are not limited to the following: serve as a lead in processing encumbrances; auditing, and approving of contracts and contract payment logs; researching and correcting encumbrance and expenditure errors. In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Microsoft office (Including Excel with pivot tables, Word, PowerPoint).
- Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) Experience.
- Encumbrance & expenditure correction experience.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Capable of handling tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines.
- Exercise good judgment: Prioritize transparency, accuracy and honesty. Making decisions based on accurate data within the required deadline.
