Human Relations Advocate
A Human Relations Advocate performs staff work involved in facilitating activities within a network of City Departments, other governmental agencies, and community-based organizations in supporting the department’s mission of developing and/or providing direct program services to community-based organizations and/or multi-ethnic communities in the areas of improving inter-group relations, addressing human relations issues and problems resulting from prejudice, discrimination, and intolerance.
REQUIREMENT(S)/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
- Graduation with a degree from an accredited four-year college or university and two years of full-time paid professional experience in developing and/or providing direct program services to community-based organizations and/or multi-ethnic communities in the areas of improving inter-group relations, addressing human relations issues and problems resulting from prejudice, discrimination and intolerance; or
- Six years of full-time paid experience developing and/or providing direct program services in any of the above areas of expertise.
