The Community Service Officer is a non-sworn position and does not require previous law enforcement experience. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or tested equivalent and ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver’s license by the time of appointment. Candidates are required to submit POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) results at the time of application with a minimum score of 46.
