Now Hiring: Afterschool Ukulele Instructor – Crockett, CA
We’re looking for a reliable and engaging Ukulele Instructor to lead an afterschool enrichment class for elementary students in Crockett, CA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids and can make music fun, structured, and age-appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a weekly afterschool ukulele class for elementary students
- Teach basic chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs
- Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment
- Manage classroom behavior and keep students engaged
- Arrive on time and communicate regularly with our team
- Support end-of-term showcase or performance (if applicable)
Requirements:
- Prior experience teaching or working with children (required)
- Solid ukulele skills and basic music fundamentals
- Patient, energetic, and dependable
- Strong classroom management skills
- Reliable transportation to Crockett, CA
Preferred (not required):
- Previous afterschool or enrichment teaching experience
- Experience teaching group music classes
- Background in music education
Schedule & Compensation:
- Afterschool hours (typically between 3 and 5 PM)
- 1–2 days per week, depending on site needs
- Start date: ASAP
- $37-40/hr, depending on experience
