Hiring: Afterschool Intro to Music Production Instructor

We’re looking for a creative and energetic instructor to lead an afterschool Intro to Music Production class for elementary students. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys teaching kids and introducing them to the basics of digital music-making.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach elementary students the fundamentals of music production, including basic beat-making, sequencing, and digital audio tools
• Guide students through hands-on projects and mini compositions
• Create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and keep students focused and motivated
• Support end-of-term presentations or showcases

Requirements:

• Experience with music production software (GarageBand, Ableton, FL Studio, or similar)
• Experience teaching or working with children
• Patient, creative, and energetic
• Reliable and organized

Preferred (not required):

• Previous afterschool or enrichment teaching experience
• Experience teaching group music or tech classes

Schedule & Compensation:

• Afterschool hours
• 1–2 days per week, depending on site needs
• $30-35/hour, depending on experience
