AI Infrastructure Review & Case Routing: Seeking one volunteer to support the review and validation of AI‑generated detections related to community infrastructure and waste management services for the San José 311 system. This opportunity helps ensure that technology‑identified issues are accurately assessed and routed so City service teams can respond effectively.

Duties include:

  • Review AI‑generated detections for issues such as illegal dumping, potholes, debris, graffiti, and other public‑right‑of‑way concerns
  • Triage incoming detections and determine urgency and appropriateness
  • Enter validated cases into the San José 311 system for department response
  • Make informed decisions about routing or escalation based on issue type and severity
  • Support the City’s ability to deliver timely community services by combining AI tools with human judgment
