MyHeatSinks Inc. is a specialized engineering and manufacturing company in Livermore, California. We manufacture advanced thermal management products, including high-performance heat sinks and related components, for customers in technology, energy, industrial, and other demanding industries.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Assistant will support our factory operations by preparing materials, clamping parts to machines, handling finished products, performing manual assembly, cleaning and organizing work areas, and assisting machine operators and supervisors with general production tasks.

This is an entry-level to early-career manufacturing position. Prior factory experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person who is reliable, careful, safety-minded, and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Clamp materials or workpieces to machines according to instructions.
  • Load and unload parts, materials, and finished products safely.
  • Handle finished products carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or other damage.
  • Perform manual assembly of parts or components according to instructions.
  • Assist machine operators with basic production preparation and cleanup.
  • Deburr, clean, inspect, organize, pack, or move parts as needed.
  • Follow work instructions, supervisor directions, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Help move materials, tools, fixtures, and finished goods within the shop.
  • Report quality issues, safety concerns, or equipment problems to a supervisor promptly.
  • Perform other general manufacturing and production-support duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on factory work.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Good attention to detail when handling parts and finished products.
  • Ability to work safely around machines, tools, and production equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic English communication skills for safety instructions and daily work coordination.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay: $29–$33/hour, depending on experience.
  • Full-time schedule, normally 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime paid according to applicable California law.
  • Medical and dental insurance through Kaiser Permanente, with 50% of the premium covered by the company; eligible after 90 days.
  • SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with 3% company match; eligible after 90 days.
  • Paid time off, including 10 vacation days in the first year, plus holidays and sick leave in accordance with company policy and California law.
  • Opportunity to learn manufacturing, production support, quality control, and machine-operation processes.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing/shop environment. Employees may work near machines, tools, metal parts, fixtures, and production equipment. Safety training will be provided, and employees are required to follow all safety rules and wear provided personal protective equipment.
