Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Operate and maintain process equipment across multiple areas, with an initial focus on small‑scale fermentation process laboratories.
- Troubleshoot and repair control loops (0–10 volts direct current and 4–20 milliamp), electrical and electronic systems, and process instrumentation including load cells, pH, temperature, agitation, and pressure transmitters.
- Use diagnostic tools such as digital volt meters (DVMs), ohm meters, oscilloscopes, and current loop analyzers.
- Interpret and work from piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and electrical blueprints for process equipment.
- Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of process equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and site procedures.
- Provide clear, timely, and professional communication to internal customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Support operational needs by working Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with flexibility to cover alternative shifts (10:30 AM – 6:30 PM) for approximately 30 days, 2–3 times per year, as business needs require.

- Experience working with process equipment, building maintenance, or equivalent technical training.
- Associate degree (AA/AS) in Electrical, Electronic, and/or Instrumentation Technologies, or equivalent technical competency.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with basic mechanical systems, standard hand tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform hands‑on technical work.
- Flexibility to work alternative shifts, overtime, weekends, and participate in an emergency on‑call rotation as required by business needs.
How Would You Stand Out?
- Exposure to programmable logic controller (PLC) platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, or GE Fanuc.
- Familiarity with human‑machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, including Intouch, WINcc, Inductive Automation, or ControlLogix.
- Experience working with industrial controls and instrumentation systems.
