The City of Livermore is looking for administrative support to fill a part-time temporary position (no benefits). Reporting directly to the Law Office Supervisor, this position will provide administrative support in the City Attorney’s Office.
Examples of duties include:
- Retrieve and Distribute Mail
- Answer and Direct Phone calls
- General Office Maintenance
- Process Legal Services Invoices
- Maintain Law Library and Inventory
- Maintain Inventory for Office Supplies & Supply Ordering
- Purchasing Card Reconciliations
- Create & Maintain up-to-date Files
- Update and Maintain Legal Expense Reports
- Maintain and Update Content on Department Web Page
- Data Entry
- Complete Administrative & Legal Projects as Assigned
- Work effectively under the pressure of deadlines
- Communicate and relate effectively with those contacted in the course of work
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems, including MS Word; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; and MS Outlook. Candidate must be willing and able to work in a standard office and provide various support to multiple managers and other duties as assigned; communicate effectively, in-person, email, and over the telephone; while providing excellent customer service. This position requires in-person work. City Hall business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. We are flexible with the hours assigned, though not to exceed 29 hours per week. Friday work is required. Candidate considered for this position will be subject to a fingerprint criminal history check.
