Registered Nurse

A Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and families about health conditions, and supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patients’ medical conditions and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Assist with diagnostic tests and medical procedures
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate nursing care when necessary
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred for certain specialties
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Work Environment

Registered Nurses may work in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, home healthcare settings, schools, or other healthcare facilities. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the facility’s needs.
