Are you passionate about music and enjoy inspiring young musicians?

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Ukulele Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on music classes this fall. This program introduces students to the fundamentals of ukulele while helping them build musical confidence, creativity, and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment.

 

Students will learn essential techniques, chords, rhythm patterns, strumming methods, and songs while developing a strong foundation in music appreciation and expression.

 

Whether you're a music educator, performer, musician, music student, or experienced ukulele player, this is a rewarding opportunity to share your passion and help students discover the joy of making music.

 

Curriculum guidance and program support are provided so you can focus on creating an engaging and memorable learning experience.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging ukulele classes in a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Teach foundational ukulele skills including proper technique, chord formations, strumming patterns, rhythm, and basic music theory
  • Guide students through songs, exercises, and performance-based activities
  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence through music
  • Introduce students to musical concepts such as timing, tempo, melody, and harmony
  • Adapt instruction to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback and encouragement
  • Maintain classroom organization and support a productive learning environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an exceptional music education experience

 

What We're Looking For

  • Experience playing ukulele and a strong understanding of basic music fundamentals
  • Passion for music education and working with students
  • Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
  • Ability to teach musical concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner
  • Patient, reliable, organized, and professional attitude
  • Comfortable leading group instruction and musical activities
  • Ability to motivate and encourage students of varying experience levels
  • Prior teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp, or youth program experience is a plus but not required
  • Background in Music, Music Education, Performance, or related fields is highly encouraged
