About Pickleball City

Pickleball City is a premier indoor pickleball facility dedicated to bringing people together through sport, fun, and community. We are passionate about creating a welcoming, high-energy environment for players of all skill levels. Whether it is through competitive play, social gatherings, or community markets, we aim to be the ultimate hub for pickleball enthusiasts.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and creative Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be the digital and physical voice of Pickleball City, helping us grow our online presence and executing memorable on-site events. If you are passionate about community building, love creating engaging social content, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we want you on our court.

What You Will Do

Digital Community & Content (Social Media)

  • Manage Social Channels: Oversee our daily presence on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Foster a positive online community by actively responding to DMs, moderating comments, and engaging with our followers.
  • Drive Content Creation: Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and capture engaging photo and video content. Note: You may be asked to serve as the on-camera "face" of our social media content at times, so comfort in front of the camera is a must!
  • Coordinate Approvals: Act as the liaison between the facility and our social marketing/design teams, managing the review, revision, and final approval process for digital assets.
  • Generate Buzz: Create digital hype and promotional campaigns to drive awareness and attendance for upcoming events hosted at Pickleball City.

Event Coordination & Operations

  • Execute the Event Calendar: Support the planning and execution of our social event calendar, while actively contributing fresh, innovative ideas for future community gatherings.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for our Maker's Market vendors. Manage all email communications, answer inquiries, and ensure vendors are fully prepared for event days. May also require physically assisting vendors with loading into and setting up their booths (this may require lifting items up to 25 lbs).
  • On-Site Event Support: Be physically present during events (such as the Maker's Market) to manage vendor check-ins, oversee floor operations, and ensure a seamless, enjoyable experience for both partners and attendees.
  • Flexibility: Step in to assist with other facility and community responsibilities as they arise.

What You Bring to the Court

  • Exceptional Organization: You are highly detail-oriented and can juggle multiple projects—from content calendars to vendor lists—without dropping the ball.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: You possess a strong bias toward action, taking the initiative to find solutions and see tasks through to completion.
  • Clear Communicator: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring vendors, team members, and community members are always on the same page.
  • Approachable & Collaborative: You have a welcoming, outgoing demeanor and enjoy interacting with diverse groups of people, both online and in person.
  • Social Media Savvy: You have a strong understanding of current trends on TikTok and Instagram and are comfortable navigating these platforms and be open to creating short-form video content.

Schedule & Logistics

  • Time Commitment: 20–25 hours per week.
  • Availability: To effectively support our events and community programming, you must be available to work on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some weekends.

What You’ll Get:

  • Unlimited Play: Enjoy a complimentary membership with free access to our courts.
  • Team Discounts: Fuel up and gear up with exclusive discounts on drinks from our on-site cafe, Pickleball City merchandise, and professional coaching sessions.
  • Incredible Networking: Gain unparalleled access to our wide network of community partners, local creators, and market vendors.
  • Ground-Floor Growth: Take part in building an exciting business from the ground up while working side-by-side with an amazing, passionate team.
