Mathnasium of San Leandro is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and outgoing Math Instructors to join our team!

This is more than a typical part-time job. As a Math Instructor, you'll help students build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and discover that math can actually make sense—and even be fun.

This is a great opportunity for high school graduates, college students, aspiring teachers, STEM majors, and anyone who enjoys working with kids and loves math.

What You'll Do

As a Math Instructor, you will:

• Work with students in grades K–12 in a supportive learning environment
• Teach and guide students using the proven Mathnasium Method™
• Work with students individually and in small groups
• Help students understand math concepts rather than simply memorize procedures
• Encourage, motivate, and celebrate student progress
• Track student work and communicate observations with the Center Director
• Work collaboratively with a fun and supportive team

No lesson planning or curriculum development required! We provide the training, instructional materials, and proven learning methods so you can focus on what matters most—helping students succeed.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

• Have a strong understanding of math through at least Algebra I
• Enjoy working with children and teenagers
• Are patient, positive, and encouraging
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are dependable, responsible, and able to work as part of a team
• Are eager to learn and open to feedback
• Can create a positive and engaging learning experience for students
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required. We provide training!

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time position with primarily after-school and weekend hours.

We are especially interested in candidates who can commit to working consistently and are available for multiple shifts per week. Weekend availability is a plus.

We are looking for candidates who can commit to the position for at least 6 months.

Hiring Process
