In-Home Caregiver – Home Matters Caregiving

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Execute personalized client care plans and document daily activities.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide household assistance such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and home safety monitoring.
  • Support clients with personal care including hygiene, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and companionship.
  • Build meaningful, trusting relationships with clients and their families.
  • Represent Home Matters Caregiving with professionalism and compassion in every interaction.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Must be at least 21 years of age (some exceptions may apply).
  • Minimum one (1) year of professional caregiving experience working with seniors.
  • Current California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration REQUIRED. (We can help you get it if you do not have it and have experience)
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification REQUIRED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Vietnamese, English/Tagalog, or English/Cantonese is a strong plus—and reflected in your compensation.
  • Reliable transportation REQUIRED with the ability to travel to client homes throughout the East Bay.
  • Valid California driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. using safe body mechanics.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, crouch, and provide hands-on care throughout a shift.
  • Physically and mentally able to safely perform all essential caregiving duties.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Pay: $21–$23/hour, depending on experience and care complexity.
  • Bilingual Differential – Additional pay for bilingual caregivers serving non-English-speaking clients.
