As a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist, you will:
- Oversee grants administration activities across the grant lifecycle, including reviewing applications, budgets, state plans, financial reports, award actions, monitoring results, audit findings, and closeout documentation for compliance with Federal requirements.
- Supervise and support grants management staff by planning and assigning work, setting priorities and deadlines, evaluating performance, providing coaching and training, resolving administrative issues, and recommending awards, promotions, disciplinary actions, or workforce development needs.
- Coordinate and advise on complex grants issues by working with program officials, financial management staff, contractors, grantees, Federal partners, workgroups, and senior leadership to resolve concerns, strengthen stewardship of Federal funds, and improve grants administration.
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
- Leading grants management and financial oversight activities for discretionary grants, mandatory grants, or cooperative agreements, including award administration, fiscal review, cost analysis, post-award monitoring, audits, reporting, and closeout.
- Providing authoritative technical guidance on Federal grants management statutes, regulations, policies, fiscal requirements, cost allowability, financial compliance, and award administration to program officials, grantees, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Managing complex grants management operations or teams, including identifying compliance, financial management, policy, or operational issues; recommending corrective actions; improving business processes and internal controls; and exercising independent judgment on matters with significant financial, operational, or program impact.
