FLL Afterschool Mentor

The Quarry Lane School located in Dublin California is looking to add a passionate team member to its robotics program. Quarry Lane Robotics has been widely recognized for excellence at the regional, national, and international levels. 

As a part of the team, you will be directly contributing to that continual success. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with others, believe in the goals and mission of The Quarry Lane School, and be open-minded and willing to learn. 

Prior experience with robotics is a must, FLL is a bonus! An ideal candidate will recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment. Communication is key. One must maintain open and clear communication with team members, parents, and the robotics coordinator, providing regular updates on the team's progress and addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise.  You will oversee the team's progress in designing, building, and programming their robot for the FLL challenges through curriculum Implementation: Follow the FLL curriculum and ensure that the team understands the program's core values, rules, and guidelines. It is imperative that you have impeccable time management to manage the team's schedule effectively, ensuring that they stay on track with the competition timeline to meet important milestones. 

Work hours are 2:30-5:00 pm, 3-4 times per week, Monday through Fridays, as well as limited commitments on some weekends.
