Supply Chain Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join our manufacturing operations team and get hands-on with the parts behind Teleo’s autonomy retrofit kits and the suppliers who provide them. You will support receiving, inventory control, and purchasing, working directly with the Teleo Supply Chain team and cross-functional partners in engineering, program management, and operations. This is a practical, on-site role: you will handle real hardware, keep our inventory accurate, perform data analysis, and help get the right parts to the right place on time.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain inventory transactions, POs, and supplier data in our ERP (Odoo)
  • Support purchasing: prepare POs, request quotes, and track order confirmations
  • Run cycle counts and help reconcile physical inventory with system records
  • Support clear-to-build activities, ensuring the right parts are available, meet quality standards, and arrive on time
  • Kit parts for builds and stage finished goods for shipment
  • Follow up with suppliers on delivery status and help expedite late or critical parts
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and partner sites
  • Build and update tracking spreadsheets for open orders, shortages, and inventory
  • Receive, inspect, label, and put away incoming parts and materials, verifying counts and paperwork against POs
  • Clean, sort, and organize materials, and help maintain a labeled, safe workspace

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Available 20 to 30 hours per week, on-site in Palo Alto, and willing to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a habit of double-checking counts and records
  • Clear communicator who can follow up with suppliers and teammates professionally
  • Self-starter who asks questions and takes ownership of tasks
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a warehouse or stockroom environment

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with electronics or mechanical hardware, including reading BOMs
  • Exposure to an ERP or inventory system (Ironflow, Odoo, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Prior supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, inventory, or purchasing experience
  • Comfortable using AI tools to speed up routine tasks like order tracking and data cleanup
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to occasionally assist with local pickups and deliveries
