WHAT IS KP LAUNCH?
Paid Northern California 2027 Summer Internship programs aim to expose high school and undergraduate students to the unlimited careers that exist within healthcare at Kaiser Permanente. Students receive professional development and the experience of interning in various departments such as Human Resources, Finance, Occupational Medicine, Information Technology, Sports Medicine, and more.
WHO CAN APPLY KP LAUNCH?
- Ages 18-24 by June 1, 2027
- Have a high school diploma or general education diploma
- Be currently enrolled in a community college, four-year undergraduate college/university, vocational/trade school at the time of application, or within one academic year of undergraduate graduation. Students who have started Graduate-level coursework/post bachelor’s programs, are not eligible to participate in the KP LAUNCH undergraduate internship.
- Be available to work full-time during the eight-week summer program, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8a – 5pm (hours may differ depending on department)
- Provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the United States
- Demonstrate leadership ability through campus activities, community service, or previous employment
- Have a permanent residence in a Northern California Kaiser Permanente designated service area
- In order to protect the health and safety of our workforce, patients, and communities we serve, Kaiser Permanente may require employees, including remote workers, to provide proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 or receive a medical or religious exemption. - Dependents of Kaiser Permanente employees and physicians are not eligible to participate in KP LAUNCH programs.
