Civil Engineer - Transportation

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with 0-5 years of experience to join our team, specializing in civil engineering for large transportation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience/interest in the planning, design, and execution of complex infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, utilities, and other large-scale civil works. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and collaborate with experienced professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with civil design for utilities, grading, drainage, roadways (curb ramps), highways, track & rail, bridges, Active Transportation, stormwater management
  • Perform calculations and develop design plans according to agency specifications
  • Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Assist with third-party coordination including attending meetings, preparing exhibits, and providing technical presentations
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to review design documents and ensure the project's design is both functional and cost-effective.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0- 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering, preferably focused on transportation

What You'll Bring:

  • Communication and Team Collaboration including emails, scheduling, collaborative development/conversation virtually and in-person
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
  • Ability to research and troubleshoot independently
  • Ability to self-advocate and clearly communicate support/mentorship needs

What We Prefer:

  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
