Derivatives Executions Specialist

About the Role:
- The Derivatives Executions Specialist role is a vital part of Casey Securities' operation, and an incredibly collaborative position. One will be expected to proactively seek ways to contribute and provide value to the trade desk, while maintaining self-sufficiency. The primary responsibilities will be answering phones with a Sales Trader, taking down trade details, relaying the current market of the trade, directing trade to open outcry floor, and monitoring trade throughout execution, all while maintaining communication with the Sales Trader. Candidates will need to be self-motivated, comfortable with technology, and able to do basic arithmetic on the fly, with or without a calculator. Candidates do not necessarily need to know about options nor markets prior to being hired but will be expected to become proficient in all our systems, know all option strategies, ask questions, and continuously learn.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and master various Order Management Systems.
- Build complex options strategies and direct them to an open outcry floor.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with Sales Trader.
- Support Sales Trader in providing timely and accurate trade reports to clients.
- Work as part of a team, seeking out ways to help the trade desk.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field.
- Ability to pass FINRA Series exams within reasonable time of start date.
- Understanding of equity derivatives and financial markets, or the discipline and desire to learn about these topics starting day one.
Required Skills:

- Able to perform basic arithmetic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in hectic and loud environments.
- Forward thinker with a proactive personality.
- Proficiency in excel, or willingness to learn immediately.
