Construction Site Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Manager with a strong background across all construction trades to oversee and coordinate activities on-site. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry) and be capable of managing teams, subcontractors, schedules, materials, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and coordination among trades.
- Supervise all on-site personnel, including subcontractors and laborers.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Schedule and coordinate tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor work for quality control and adherence to project plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite, enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with, architects, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide practical, trade-based solutions.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available as needed.
- Track and report on project progress, site activity, and any delays or challenges.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Site Manager or Foreman, with strong, hands-on knowledge across multiple trades.
- In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes/regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documentation.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- OSHA certification and solid understanding of job site safety protocols and standards.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Prior experience managing multi-million dollar residential construction projects.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Proficient in using construction management software Buildertrend
- Experience managing budget sheets, processing RFIs (Requests for Information), and other documentation.
