
Community Marketing Intern (Unpaid)
Position Title: Community Marketing Intern
Location: Hybrid, San Francisco Bay Area
Duration: May 2025 - July 2025
Commitment: Approx. 5–10 hours per week (including event attendance)
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Marketing Intern (Age 21+) to support grassroots marketing, event production, and partnership development. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone looking to build real-world experience in entertainment, marketing, and community engagement.
What you’ll be doing

Event Attendance & Support
- Attend and assist with in-person events (must be 21+ due to venue requirements)
- Provide on-site support with setup, registration, guest engagement, and capturing content
- Provide recap notes to the event and/or program

Marketing & Promotion
- Develop creative, cost-effective strategies to promote events and sell tickets
- Contribute to and share marketing content via personal and event social media platforms
- Support content creation: photos, video snippets, and live coverage

Community Outreach & Partnerships
- Research and identify potential local partners (venues, artists, influencers, small businesses)
- Assist in outreach and relationship-building with community stakeholders

Entertainment & Talent Research
- Research local entertainment acts, DJs, performers, and vendors suitable for future events
- Help compile a directory of talent and entertainment options
Who we are looking for
- Must be 21 years or older
- Passion for events, marketing, and community-based entertainment
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset
- Experience in social media marketing (portfolio or account samples encouraged)
- Creative problem-solver with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings or weekends depending on event schedule
Compensation
- This is an unpaid internship. However, interns will receive:
- Hands-on experience in live event marketing and production
