Peer Guides

Position Title: Peer Guides 

Rate: $16.50/hour

Requirements: 

• Must be a currently enrolled Chabot College student
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Able to work on campus at Chabot.
• Eligible for Federal Work-Study (FWS)

Desired Attributes and Abilities

Peer Guides are representatives of Chabot College’s General Counseling team.  Some of the Peer Guides’ goals are to:

• A passion for supporting  Chabot College students and the campus community
• Excellent teamwork skills
• A desire and ability to work with a diversity student body and represented at Chabot College
• Self-motivated and can take initiative
• Effective communication skills, including comfort with public speaking

Responsibilities are (but not limited to) :

• Ability to work ~ 15-20 hours per week
• Attending in-person trainings and meetings
• Support students by navigating Chabot’s online systems.
•  Provide general campus information
• Assist with the registration process
•  Connect students to campus programs and resources
