At the SSA level, under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I and with guidance from the Chief of the Field Division, the SSA performs a range of analytical and administrative duties that are moderately complex. These duties include support in budget planning, program analysis, fiscal accounting, and program control functions, as well as assisting with Planner/Scheduler functions and SAP-related activities. The SSA is expected to develop foundational knowledge of SAP systems, accounting practices, budget processes, and departmental policies and procedures, while gaining experience to progress toward handling more complex assignments with greater independence.
At the AGPA level, under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I and the guidance of the Field Division Chief, the AGPA is responsible for independently performing a wide variety of the most difficult and complex analytical and administrative duties. These include in-depth budget planning, program analysis, fiscal accounting, and program control functions, along with advanced responsibilities in Planner/Scheduler tasks and SAP operations. The AGPA must demonstrate expert-level knowledge of SAP, accounting, budget processes, and departmental policies. Additionally, the AGPA may manage administrative SAP functions such as time reporting, program reporting, requisitioning, and work order notifications. The AGPA is expected to provide consultative support and contribute to strategic decision-making.
The reporting location for this position is Byron, CA. This position is not eligible for telework.

Special Requirements
Must have stamina and ability to attend lengthy meetings, and must be able to give verbal presentations; work well with other people (and different personalities); deal effectively with the public; and accept changes in assigned priorities based on operational need.
Overtime may be required, based on work needs. Working knowledge of State and Department policies, procedures, regulations, and SAP programs is essential.
Employee is required to successfully complete all safety training related to the functions of the job.
Must have a valid California Class C license as incumbent will be required to operate automotive vehicles on public roadways, and travel to Headquarters and remote areas within the field division.
